Missed-call text-back for a towing company
A missed tow call is never a rescheduled tow call. The plumber who misses a Tuesday call often gets it back Wednesday. The stranded driver who reaches voicemail is talking to your competitor before the beep finishes.
Run the arithmetic on 200 calls a month at a $165 average, closing seven of ten answered. Miss 20% and that is 40 calls, about 28 jobs, roughly $4,600 a month and $55,000 a year. None of it requires better marketing. It requires a phone getting picked up. Cut the miss rate to 8% with an on-call forward and a text-back and you recover about $2,800 a month. Text-back costs $20 to $80 a month, needs no staff, and fires during a busy signal as well as after hours, which is where most yards leak. The mistake is installing it on a secondary number nobody calls. Two weeks in, the message log shows recovered conversations you did not know you were losing.
